Institutional Innovation & Service
Makerspace and Manufacturing Center
Drew on my experience at Georgia Tech's Invention Studio and years of tinkering to help establish the university's makerspace and advanced manufacturing center. Built it as a space for students to learn by making. Now focused on building operational sustainability.
Computer-Based Entrance Exams
During COVID, helped moved entrance exams from paper to computer-based, still in use today. Later worked on infrastructure for a national exam project, now on hold.
University Website Transition
Led the build of a Drupal prototype to replace the Oracle system. Advocated for user needs to be defined internally, and UI to be user-first. Prototype adopted successfully and implemented university wide after redesign by an external agency.
Introduction to Design & Fabrication Course
With colleagues, developed a new common course that placed design thinking and fabrication at the core of the engineering program, giving students early hands-on experience. The course will be first taught in Fall 2025
Robotics and Mechatronics Teaching Lab
Designed and set up a lab to support robotics and mechatronics elective courses.
Applied Control and Estimation Lab
Started a new lab for applied control and estimation. Built around a fully equipped mechatronics lab, a setup that started during my Ph.D. at Georgia Tech
Online Teaching Support (COVID-19)
When classrooms shut down, a small group of colleagues and I worked voluntarily to advocate and prepare for the online transition during COVID-19m from day one, later led the training on Moodle transition. Specially focused on assessment tools.
